<p>An apparatus for molding fiber reinforced resin moldings which can wind roving fibers around a core die at a suitable angle without cutting of the fibers and generation of fluff, and a method of molding fiber reinforced resin moldings which can avoid interference between a guide and a branch pipe and wind an article being wound, in a desired position. The molding apparatus for winding fibers supplied to a guide around a core die comprises a rotating device for rotating a core die, a moving device adapted to move in the vicinity of the core die and provided with a guide, by which fibers are guided, a resin impregnating vessel for continuously impregnating fibers in a liquid resin, and a fiber supplying device for supplying to the guide fibers pulled out of the resin impregnating vessel. The moving device comprises two or more guides, only one of the guides nearest to the core die being stationary and the other of the guides being movable relative to the moving device. Also, in the method for molding fiber reinforced resin moldings winding a line-shaped or band-shaped article being wound, around the core die through guides provided on the moving device, which moves in the vicinity of the core die, while the core die is rotated, the article being wound is wound with the guides positioned in a plane perpendicular to a central axis of the core die.</p> |
