Dot matrix display

The dot matrix display element has a flat display plate with at least one light conductive layer parallel to its first layer on the base body. At least one lamp projects light from the side into the light conductive layer, parallel to the rotated setting of the plate. The lamp and light conductive layer are structured so that the conducted light is distributed evenly on to the first layer, with the display plate in the first rotated setting.
