The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition in the form of an excipient in combination with an aminothiol or an aryl amide to prevent UV induced skin cancer. Further, the invention provides a method to reduce or prevent the formation of UV induce a skin cancer by the application of an excipient in combination with an aminothiol or an aryl amide.
