The exhaust gas flow (13) out of the last turbine (5) is divided into two parallel part flows (14,15). The first part flow (14) flows through a recuperator (26), and the second part flow flows through a steam producer (27). The recovered steam amount (16) from the steam producer is conducted at suitable points into combustion air (7,22) used to operate the combustion chamber (2). A compressor unit (1) is effectively connected to at least one intermediate cooler (25). The gas turbo-group is operated in accordance with a sequential firing (2,4).
