Disclosed is an antiallergenic covering for receiving objects and air contaminated with fine or very fine dust, house dust, mould fungus and allergens, i.e. the debris of house dust mites, more particularly all types of bedclothing and/or upholstery. Said covering comprises at least one strip (4) of woven or nonwoven material and a mechanical closure (1), i.e. a zipper, located in an embodiment blocking the entrance of allergens and very fine particles. Said covering is characterized in that the strip (4) consists of a fabric coated with a polyurethane/acrylate copolymer foam and compressed by calendering to a degree of entrapment of approximately 100 % for particles < 1.mu.m and in that the zipper (1) is sealed in the inner side of the covering by the overlapping (2) of a sealing strip (3) formed by at least three plies of fabric (10-12).
