PURPOSE:To obtain a highly safe industrial fungus-proofing agent, markedly expanded in the range of microbes to be controlled, useful in e.g. the water system for the paper and pulp industry, consisting of a combination of a nitropropionamide compound, an isothiazolone-based compound and a dithiol compound. CONSTITUTION:This industrial fungus-proofing agent is a combination of a nitropropionamide compound of formula I (R<1> is H, a halogen or an alkyl; R<2> is H or an alkyl; X is a halogen), an isothiazolone-based compound of formula II (R<3> is H or a hydrocarbon; R<4> and R<5> are each H or a halogen) and a dithiol compound of formula III (R<6> and R<7> are each H, a halogen or an alkyl) pref. at the weight ratio of 100:(1-200):(1-100). In addition, pref. 1-200 pts.wt., based on 100 pts.wt. of these three components, of 3,3,4,4- tetrachlorotetrahydrothiophene-1,1-dioxide may be formulated in this agent. As a solvent for this agent, a triol-based compound is preferable. This fungus- proofing agent is useful for the water such as circulating cooling water, water- based coatings, paper coating liquids, etc. |
