PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmitting system using the mobile communication equipment of a mobile telephone set and the like. SOLUTION: An infrared input/output communication port transmitting data between a portable device and a remote electronic device through a radio transmission link at a first operation mode is provided. The communication equipment has connection means 11a and 11b which connect the first terminal part of a data transmission cable 8 to an infrared communication port 3 and is engaged to the infrared communication port 3 are provided. Data is transmitted between the portable device 1 and the remote device through the infrared communication port and the cable 8 at a second operation mode.
