PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To translate an HTML file of another language with high efficiency and to output an attractive translation by generating and outputting translated character data based on 1st and 2nd character information which are related to the 1st language character data and the translated 2nd language character data respectively. SOLUTION: The 1st character information representing the information related to the character data of a 1st language is acquired together with the 2nd character information representing the information related to the translated character data. Then the translated character data are generated and outputted. In other words, a foreign home page is accessed and a displayed HTML file is stored in a fixed external storage (HD) 11 or a mobile external storage (FD) 9. In a translation mode, it's checked whether the HTML file is once translated or not. If a translated file exists, a browser is started to display the translated HTML file. If no translated HTML file exists, HTML translation processing is carried out to obtain an HTML file that is translated into Japanese. Then the layout editing processing is carried out. |
