PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrophotographic photoreceptor having excellent chargeability and high sensitivity by incorporating a tetrapyrazinoporphyrazine compound giving an X-ray diffraction spectrum having the main peak in a specified position in the photosensitive layer. SOLUTION: The tetrapyrazinoporphyrazine compound is represented by the formula and giving an X-ray (Cu Kα-line) diffraction spectrum having the main peak at a Brag angle (20±0.2 deg.) of 27.3 deg.. In the formula, M is a hydrogen atom or an atom or compound which covalently or coordinately bonds to the tetrapyrazinoporphyrazine compound; r1 , r2 , r3 , and r4 , which are independent of each other, are each a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, alkenyl or aryl group, or hydroxyl; and k, l, m, and n are each 1 or 2. In an electrophotographic photoreceptor having a photosensitive layer on a conductive support, the photoreceptive layer is composed of the two layers of a charge generation layer and a charge transport layer, and the compound of the formula is incorporated as a charge generation substrate of the charge generation layer.
