PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly perform correction processing suck as camera shake correction by deciding on the reliability of a generated motion vector, after performing discrete cosine transformation(DCT) of an image signal of each pixel and decomposing it into frequency components and outputting a control signal to perform correction processing of the image signal. SOLUTION: A DCT circuit 18 divides, for instance, one image into plural blocks which consist of horizontal eight×vertical eight pixels, performs discrete cosine transformation of the image signal of each pixel that is included in each block and decomposes it into coefficients of frequency components. A motion vector generation circuit 22 generates a motion vector from the finite difference of an image signal of the current image and an image signal of the preceding image. A control circuit 24 decides whether a motion vector is caused by the entire image of from an object movement and has reliability, or is caused by a wrong motion vector being generated from an ambient similar image signal and does not have reliability based on respective coefficients, outputs it to a control signal which performs correction processing of an image signal, and inputs it to an interpolation circuit 16.
|
