PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic resin container which can be sterilized in a short time and its preform. SOLUTION: The preform 1 of a synthetic resin container includes a plug 10 for attaching a screw cap or a plug cap and a body 3, wherein a surface roughness of at least one of internal and external faces of the body 3 is 10μm or less. Thus since chemical liquid can easily penetrate in a recess on the internal and external faces, attaching germs can be sterilized in a short time.
