PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a most suitable deodorizing device utilizing activation due to an oxidation reaction of photocatalyst represented by titanium oxide and enabling to utilize especially by attaching it to the inside of an automobile. SOLUTION: In the deodorizing device provided with a photocatalyst filter 1 on whose surface 1A the photocatalyst such as titanium oxide is attached and by which the oxidation reaction is activated upon receiving light and deodorizing or air cleaning is attained, and an air feed device 2 for feeding the outside air to the photocatalyst filter 1, in a case 3, an optical source part for irradiating the photocatalyst filter 1 with light is attached on the case 3 and the irradiation direction A of the light from the light source to the photocatalyst 1 and the air feeding direction B of the feed air passing through the photocatalyst filter 1 are constituted so as to be nearly the same direction. |
