PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a manufacturing cost while maintaining design properties equivalent to those of a decorative material using a fancy veneer. SOLUTION: The decorative material 1 comprises a base material 2, a decorative sheet 3 having a quarter sawn grain portion A adhered to a surface of the material 2 and disposed to constitute a quarter sawn grain pattern of a woodgrain pattern as a whole of many linear woodgrain elements 3a, and many slender recess parts 36 disposed to constitute a quarter sawn grain pattern together with the many elements 3a on a part of the portion A on the surface of the decorative sheet and disposed to constitute a flat sawn grain pattern on a portion B except the quarter sawn grain portion and to extend the flat sawn grain pattern along the quarter sawn grain pattern.
