IMAGE RECORDER AND RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate deterioration of image quality due to uneven carriage of a recording material while facilitating the handling. SOLUTION: A roll type recording material 10 is cut into a recording sheet 10a of specified size by means of a cutter 13. The recording sheet 10a is carried by means of a carrying belt 14 onto a stage 17 and held thereon while being sucked. A line recording light is projected from a line image generator 25 onto the recording sheet 10a and a line of pixels are recorded thereon. The line image generator 25 is moved at a constant speed in the sub-scanning direction by means of a moving mechanism 26 and a frame of images are recorded sequentially onto the stopping recording sheet 10a.
