PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic video image-pickup device through which a photographer can easily recognize when photographing whether or not a main object is within a fusable image range. SOLUTION: A calculation means 304 calculates the distance of an image forming available range, based on a base line length and a conversion angle or the like of optical systems 101, 102 of a stereoscopic camera 1 under the assumption that the distance of fusable image forming on a display screen is a distance between one's pupils (about 65 mm) or less in a depth direction and about 20 cm in front of the eyes in this side direction. On the other hand, calculation means 301-303, 307, 305 calculate a distance up to an object indicated by a sight line based on outputs from line of sight detection means 203, 204, and whether or not the distance is within an image forming available range is displayed on an image display means 2. |
