PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door opening and closing device for an automobile, capable of surely reducing the opening and closing operation speed of the sliding door to a low speed, and surely restraining noise such as operation sound or a collision sound by improving the operational efficiency of automatically opening and closing a sliding door to reduce the uncomfortable feeling of an operator. SOLUTION: A handle switch 3 is disposed on a grip part 3a for manually opening and closing a slide door 2, and according to the opening and closing operation, the sliding door 2 is automatically opened and closed through a slide driving device 7. A sliding door controller 21 controls the slide drive device 7 to decrease the opening and closing operation speed of the door 2 from the position before the door 2 is fully opened or closed when the sliding door 2 is automatically opened and closed according to the opening and closing operation of the handle switch 3 by the slide drive device 7. |
