PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a log-in operation with use of an old password if the password of a network is not updated for some reason by storing the old password when it's changed. SOLUTION: When a user tries to change a password which is stored in a facsimile equipment T, a main control part 11 executes the software to change the password (old password) that is logged-in and already registered in a network into a new password. If the change of the password cannot be confirmed, the old password and the new one to be changed are stored in prescribed area of a RAM 20 in the form of a password register table after an error is shown at a display part 14. If a log-in operation is impossible with the changed password, the unchanged old password is used instead. |
