PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor that enables higher speed accessing than that of a high speed burst operation and employs a conventional memory that is less expensive than a line memory to realize cost reduction. SOLUTION: An image-processing section 102 receives image data subject to raster scanning by a scanner 101, writes the data to an optional address of a memory for each line of all pixles in a main scanning direction prior to image processing. In reading the image data, not every line of all the pixels but each block of the data is read consisting of a prescribed pixel number and a prescribed line number in the subscanning direction, and image processing is applied to each block. After the image processing, each block of the image data is written in an optional memory of the other memory, and in the case of reading the image data, the data are read by each line of all the pixels in the main scanning direction and outputted to a printer 103. |
