FLAME RETARDANT STYRENE-BASED RESIN COMPOSITION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a styrene-based resin composition improved in melt drip flame retardance without deteriorating heat and impact resistances. SOLUTION: This composition contains (A) 100 pts.wt. of a rubber-modified styrene-based resin, (B) 1-15 pts.wt. of a flame retardant and (C) 1-10 pts.wt, of rosins. The flame retardant of the component (B) is an aromatic phosphoric ester represented by the formula [R<1> to R<9> denotes each independently hydrogen atom, a 1-4C alkyl group or hydroxyl group; X denotes a bi- or a polyvalent organic group; (n) denotes an integer of >=0]. The rosins of the component (C) are a natural rosin or a modified rosin prepared by disproportionating, hydrogenating or dehydrogenating the natural rosin.
