PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer sheet for obtaining a conveyability of a base at the same time of printing of an image by preventing an image fault due to a transfer fault. SOLUTION: In the thermal transfer sheet comprising a thermal transfer layer provided on one side surface of a support to transfer by a heat, a surface smoothness of at least one side surface of the support is an Ra value of 10 to 100 nm. The smoothness of the Ra value is more preferably 20 to 80 nm. As the support, a polyester film or particularly a biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate film is preferably used. |
