PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase or decrease power consumption, depending on the driving speed of a vibration type driver, and in particular, reduce power consumption during the low speed drive. SOLUTION: A vibration type driver 21 is formed to relatively drive a vibration body, which is vibrated by an electromechanical energy converting element to which a pulse signal is input and a contact body to be in contact with this vibration body. This vibration type driver 21 detects the vibrating condition of the vibration body and controls the drive speed by changing over the frequency control of pulse signal, depending on this vibrating condition and the pulse width modulation control. |
