PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-sensitive recording material for remarkably alleviating an amount of a base to be added by including a functional group operated as a base in a molecule, and incorporating a coupler for remarkably improving a hue and a saturation of a dye by the self-dissociation of the functional group. SOLUTION: In the heat-sensitive recording material comprising a diazonium salt compound and a coupler for color developing by reacting with the salt compound at the time of heating on a support, the coupler contains at least one type of a compound represented by a formula (wherein Cp is a coupler residue, R1 to R3 are each independently a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an alkynyl group or a heterocycle group, any of the R1 to R3 is bonded to the Cp. In the case that the R1 to D3 are each alkyl group, alkenyl group, alkynyl group or heterocycle group, they may respectively have substituents. And, the R1 , R2 and R3 may form a ring in any combination). |
