PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball mill capable of preparing a high-purity ceramic powder-contg. slurry and a method for preparing the high-purity ceramic powder- contg. slurry reduced in the content of metallic impurities, etc., to obtain the high-purity compact with the ceramic powder as the raw material using the ball mill. SOLUTION: This ball mill consists of a main body as an agitated chamber and a lid 14 fastened to the main body 12 with a bolt, and a plurality of agitating balls are arranged in the main body 12. The main body 12, the lid 14 and preferably the agitating ball are formed from >=1 kind of resin selected from PE, polyacetals, PVC, polyurethane and tetrafluoroethylene. This resin has >=800 kgf/cm<2> flexual strength according to JIS K7203 and >=700 kgf/cm<2> compressive strength according to JIS K7208, and the total content of the metallic impurities in the resin is preferably controlled to <=5 ppm. |
