PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a developing device from becoming large in size due to toner spreading by preventing the toner from spreading along the magnetic force line of a magnetic sealing member in the longitudinal direction of a developer carrier such as a developing sleeve, to prevent the toner leakage caused by an impact, and to prevent a defective image caused by resin (magnet) stuck to the developer carrier, etc., due to the fall-down of the resin (magnet) formed on the surface facing the developing sleeve of a magnetic plate. SOLUTION: In this developing device 50 and this process cartridge 100, magnetic sealing members 21 are arranged at both longitudinal end parts of the developing sleeve 5 so as to form a gap part with reference to the outer peripheral surface. The magnetic sealing member 21 is provided with a magnet 21a and a magnetic member 21b installed on at least one side face orthogonal to the axial direction of the developing sleeve 5 of the magnet 21a, and a surface 21k facing the developing sleeve of the magnetic member 21b is exposed, and a magnetic circuit is formed between the magnet 21a and the magnetic member 21b. |
