The present invention provides alkoxy-4(1H)-pyridone derivatives of the general formula I: <IMG> as well as processes for the preparation thereof, pharmaceuticals containing them and methods of use thereof for the prevention and/or treatment of heart and blood vessel diseases, such as thromboses, arteriosclerosis and hypertension, and of inflammatory processes, allergies, cancers and certain degenerative damage of the central nervous system.
