PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retransmit an error notice packet to a transmitter side device by storing received data having a size of a buffer to the reception buffer, applying data reception of excess data to hand-shake processing with the transmitter side device and aborting the received data in the case of receiving packet data exceeding the size of the data amount reserved as the reception buffer. SOLUTION: The data receiver has a centronics interface controller 11 that receives data from a host computer in the unit of packets, a reception buffer 14 storing the received data, a reception counter 1202 that counts number of received data bytes, and a control section 15 that controls stopping of the received data to the reception buffer 14 when packets of a prescribed number or more are received. |
