PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition having excellent gripping performance by compounding carbon black and a specific compound to a base rubber composed mainly of a styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition can be produced by compounding 100 pts.wt. of a base rubber composed mainly of a styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber having a styrene content of 20-50-wt.% with 40-200 pts.wt. of carbon black, 0.1-20 pts.wt. of a compound of formula I [R is H or 1-4C alkyl; R<2> and R<3> are 1-8C alkyl, cyclohexyl or (substituted) phenyl; X is O or group of formula II (R<4> is same as R)] and, as necessary, an antioxidant, a vulcanizing agent, etc. |
