Carbon dioxide is introduced in solid form into the cavity (2) of the treatment vessel, or into a space leading to it. An overpressure is generated by the transition of the carbon dioxide from the solid phase into the gas phase. Goods are treated inside a sealed cavity, in which an overpressure is generated. An Independent claim is also included for the treatment vessel.
