PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery condition detecting device that calculates battery internal resistance and detects a battery temperature automatically according to the internal resistance or that identifies a battery type. SOLUTION: A battery 1 supplies a fixed electric power to a load 3 by adjusting a voltage and current by means of a discharge control device 21 of a control circuit 2. The electric power charges the battery 1 by means of a charge control device 22. At this time, the voltage and current of the battery 1 are detected by means of a voltage sensor 23 and current sensor 24 to supply to an internal resistance calculating device 25. The value of the relationship of the voltage and the current is stored in the internal, resistance calculating device 25 as table data. Internal resistance is obtained by calculating outputs of the voltage sensor 23 and the current sensor 24 to input this calculated result in a temperature identifying device 26. The relationship of internal resistance and temperature is stored in the temperature identifying device 26 as table data. A battery temperature corresponding to the internal resistance based on the calculated result of the internal resistance calculating device 25. The discharge control device 21 and charge control device 22 are controlled by the detected battery temperature, or it is displayed to a display device as required. |
