PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display monitored data on a monitor by switching radio communica tion to optical communication and transferring the data to a radio communica tion enable slave set when line disconnection is detected in a system which performs communication between a monitor part and monitoring cameras by radio communication. SOLUTION: Cordless monitoring cameras 100, 110, 111 and 112 are arranged so that adjacent cameras cover their visual field. The camera 100 photographs an invader 5 when it can not be connected to a local cordless telephone connecting device 8, it blinks a light emitting part and transmits encoded data to an adjacent camera 110. When the cameras 110 and 111 can not be connected to the local cordless telephone connecting device, the encoded data is sequentially transferred and the connectable camera 112 is connected to a telephone connecting device 9 and transmits the transferred data to a monitoring part 1 by radio communication. The part 1 can observe image and sound information which is acquired by the camera 100 with a monitor 6, enduring intentional noise and interference.
