<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil assembly for a solenoid used in magnetic valves in which no special after-treatment is necessary after removing waste fins, by forming notches that are indented inward along the radial direction in one of the flanges of a bobbin, placing gate of a metal mold for guiding molding resin at the notches of the bobbin, and forming an outer cover. SOLUTION: Two notches, 4A and 41B, are formed symmetrically, indented in the radial direction in a flange 2B of a bobbin 2. Two gates, 38A and 38B, on tops of a forked sprue runner 37 are placed so as to be opened to a cavity at the notches, 41A and 41B, respectively. Molding is performed in the metal mold to form an outer cover with a molding resin. Waste fins 39 are tied at the notches, 41A and 41B. When the waste fins 39 are broken off, projecting traces of the waste fins never protrude over the outer radial periphery of the flanges 2B. Therefore, any special after-treatment is necessary after removing the waste fins.</p> |
