PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe for accurately detecting a fault inclined to a scanning surface of an ultrasonic beam with a small size and an ultrasonic angle beam method using the probe. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic probe 1 comprises a vibrator group 2 having many vibrators 2a to 2n arranged in a circular arc state at a predetermined pitch, and a plate-like shoe 3 formed in a plane shape in a sector shape. The shoe 3 has a phase parallel sector surface 3a, a circular arc-like surface 3c having the group adhered thereto, a V-shaped beam focusing surface 3d, and a beam exit surface 3e formed on an opposed part of the circular-arc-like surface. In this case, the beam exit surface is inclined to the sector shape surface. The vibrators are opposed to a welding line X at a position separated at a predetermined distance from a welding bead 21, and the beam exit surface is brought into contact with a surface of a base material 20, and the probe 1 is provided. In this state, the group 2 is scanned in a sector shape by a controller (not shown) while moving the probe along the welding line at a predetermined speed. |
