PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation information receiver for receiving a navigation service of a wide range even by a portable personal computer having a small hard disk capacity, by distributing map data by utilizing Internet. SOLUTION: A navigation information receiver comprises a modem block 3 for receiving navigation information down loaded to a hard disk of a portable personal computer via Internet to receive the information via Internet, and a GPS(global positioning system) block 2 for receiving GPS data of the GPS system in such a manner that the modem block and the GPS block are contained in the same PC(personal computer) card 1.
