PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of optical communication without providing plural optical communication means at least on one of a unit and a device main-body and necessitating the increase of the size of the device by providing a recessed part between the optical communication means provided on the movable unit and the optical communication means provided on the device main-body, on the surface of the unit and also providing the optical-communication means of the unit side in the recess part. SOLUTION: A main-body optical-communication-means 201 is provided in a fixed position of a main-body rear-side-plate 53 of a device main-body side opposite to the central shaft 52 of a rotary-type developing device 4. In a portion which is in the inner side of the device than the tip end of a black- toner storage container in the hollow part of the rotary-type developing device 4, a unit optical-communication means 203 opposed to the main-body optical communication means 201 is installed so that the hollow part and a through-hole 52a are made of an optical path. |
