PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a toner adhering to a reflection part (aluminum foil) for detecting the circulating position of an intermediate transfer belt and to obtain a detection signal by a reflection type photosensor based on an exact reflected light quantity. SOLUTION: The width of either one (30) of a flocked seal member 29 or 30 provided at both ends of a blade 27 of a belt cleaner 16 is extended to the extension line of the circulation locus of an aluminum foil 5. Thus, the member 30 is brought into slidable contact with the coil 5 when the cleaner 16 abuts on the belt 3 so that toner soiling on the surface of the foil 5 is mainly removed. |
