PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the functions and image of each equipment without increasing traffic by inquiring plural connected equipments for ID information peculiar to the equipments and detecting information about functions of each equipment from the ID information. SOLUTION: This communication system which automatically identifies the connection states of plural equipments is constituted by providing a unique ID information (unique ID) which is set to plural equipment respectively with an area where information (node information) showing functions with which respective equipment are provided. Node information 302 of one byte is information about image information with where the node is provided and is information necessary to perform processing such as communication, editing and working to the image information. It is possible to cope with the change of ID before and after bus resetting by making a node ID that is allocated to each node correspond to the unique ID of each equipment after starting bus resetting, and these is no need to newly inquire node information to the whole equipments. |
