PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hardly make the influence of the distortion of a developer regulating member etc., occurring at the time of attaching the developer regulating member in an initial stage of endurance appear on a development coat by making an abutting pressure for a developer carrier of the developer regulating member with a developer infiltration preventing member different in the longitudinal direction of the developer carrier. SOLUTION: A developer infiltration preventing member 8 is fixed on the side of a developing chamber frame 1 and the position of the preventing member 8 is an abutting part 5 of a developing sleeve 2 and a blade member 3. Then, in the state that the sleeve 2 is abutted on the blade member 3, the developer infiltration preventing member 8 is held between the blade member 3 and the part of the developing chamber frame 1 to be compressed in the more vertical direction than the actual dimension. In the case that the developer infiltration preventing member 8 is not attached, since the control pressure in the longitudinal direction of the blade member 3 is lower in the both end parts than that in the central part, the control pressure in the longitudinal direction of the blade member 3 is made uniform in the central part and the both end parts by using the elastic force of the developer infiltration preventing member 8 to prevent the nonuniformity of a toner coat. |
