PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable automatic facility searching and route guidance without any inconvenience of setting facilities, by searching for a facility in a desired type closest to a present location from among facilities to be used stored in correspondence to time zones. SOLUTION: A navigation device is provided with memory 21 storing related data on time zones and facilities to be used as a database of facilities to be used, and a timer 22 for detecting time zones. Then when a user instructs execution of searching through the use of a predetermined method, whether it is a time zone set in advance or not is determined by the timer 22, facilities to be used corresponding to a present time zone is read fro the memory 21, and a facility closest to a present location detected by a location detecting part 11 is searched for and displayed on a display part 5. When the user performs the operation of determination, route guidance is performed. In the case that the user does not perform the operation of determination, a facility next to the closest one is searched for. It is possible to shorten the time required for determination by setting groups of facilities to be used according to types, etc., in advance and making it correspond to, for example switches S1, S2.... |
