PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a creepage discharge starting voltage by setting the contact angle with the ceramic element body of an electrode to an obtuse angle. SOLUTION: A dielectric ceramic layer l and an inner electrode 2 are alternately laminated, and an external electrode 3 is formed on the exposed end face of the inner electrode 2. At this time, the contact angle between the external electrode 3 and a ceramic element body is set to an obtuse angle. In this manner, by setting the electrode at the triple point of an electrode edge part, the ceramic element body, and gas to a recessed shape, the strength of electric field near the triple point of the electrode, the ceramic element body, and the gas becomes weak, thus improving a creepage discharge starting voltage. |
