The air fan is constructed within a case (10), approximately cylindrical, with an open face forming the inlet (26), defined by a curved peripheral edge (40), which forms an inlet deflector collar. The case carries a centrifugal fan (12), to draw air in axially, through the inlet and to output it radially, through the voluted form (30) of the case. The curved inlet edge is formed with a primary part (44) which is turned towards the interior of the case and a secondary part (46), which is curved towards the outside.
