PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timer control method with which the reference timer in a system can be made to match the timer individually controlled by software. SOLUTION: This timer control method for adjusting the time of a reference timer 21 to be the reference of a computer system and an OS timer 25 to be the reference of an operating system(OS) 24 to be operated on the computer system is provided with a first process for reading the time of the reference timer and setting the read time to the OS timer and a second process for comparing the read time with the time of the OS timer and repeating the first process until the time is matched. By matching the time of the reference timer and the time of the OS timer, the time of the OS can be controlled with reliability, even when operating an application program to which exact real-time management is required. |
