PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer a state display signal in large quantities at high speed without a DMA procedure by sending a state display signal from each subordinate device to a controller and multiplexing and sending state display signals of all of subordinate devices with a transfer controller of a switching device. SOLUTION: A state display signal (SCN) of each device that is under a controller (CC) is sent to an access controller 2 through an up transmission path 8. When a transfer selection controller 4 separately receives the signal (SCN) from each subordinate device, it sets the signal (SCN) to a 2-bit position which is the same as a control signal (SD) in a parallel 16-bit signal of a corresponding time slot, converts it into two signals of 8-bit parallel, further converts it into a serial signal and sends it in a frame of a digital synchronous network. When a signal of broadcast SD is sent from the controller (CC) to the controller 4, the controller 4 copies the same control signal for each device that is subordinate and transfers it to the each subordinate device.
