PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical fiber feeder pipe which has low frictional resistance even under low load, which has high strength and which can be formed thin and lightweight with a small diameter by using a compsn. comprising a mixture of nylon 12 or nylon 11 and a friction improving compsn. for the inner face. SOLUTION: In this feeder pipe for an optical fiber, a compsn. prepared by mixing 99 to 50 wt.% nylon 12 or nylon 11 and 1 to 50 wt.% friction improving compsn. is used for at least the inner face. The friction improving compsn. consists of 0.1 to 50 wt.% lubricating resin and 99.9 to 50 wt.% polyolefin resin. As the lubricating resin, a polyorganosiloxane, block copolymer of polyorganosiloxane and polyolefin (such as polyethylene), fluorocarbon resin, copolymer of fluorocarbon resin and other resin, or the like is exemplified. As the polyolefin resin, a straight-chain low density polyethylene, polypropylene, polyethylene or the like is preferably used. |
