<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high speed IP packet exchange that does not lack in a connection identifier or a switching table entry even in a large-scale communication network. SOLUTION: A network management device 13 is provided with a connection management means 18, a fixed numbered connection group having a continuous identifier is made to be a group, a connection and the connection identifier of the whole network are managed unitary by a power of two plural grouping unit and a set and release of the connection are performed. Also, order of priority is provided between plural grouping units and when a connection set by the plural grouping units is executed with regard to the same connection identifier at one exchange, a connection set having the connection identifier of a small grouping unit value is made valid.</p> |
