PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stabilizer for a discharge lamp capable of being easily filled by a filler and connected by a capacitor. SOLUTION: A stabilizer body 1 and 2 comprises an iron core 1 and a winding 2. A filler 7 is filled around the stabilizer 1 and 2. An instant joint terminal metal fittings 4 comprises an instant joint terminal section 41 joining to a terminal 6 of the stabilizer body 1 and 2 and an instant joint section 42 joining to an external lead wire out of the drawing. A terminal cover 5 contains the instant joint terminal metal fittings 4. A capacitor 3 is joined to a part of the instant joint terminal metal fittings 4.
