摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely adjust a resistance value with a simple structure, by arranging a resistor formed of a metal plate or the like for a resistor between a pair of electrodes, and forming a trench having a bottom on the resistor by using a laser. SOLUTION: Terminals for trimming are connected with electrode terminals 12 of a belt-shaped metal plate 10 having a resistor 14, the resistor 14 is irradiated with a laser light, a trimming trench 38 is formed, and adjustment is so performed that the resistor 14 has a specified resistance value. For forming the trimming trench 38, the resistor 14 is irradiated with a laser light, and metal at the irradiated part is sublimated. Thus the trench is farmed. When trimming is performed, a trench 42 which faces inside and is used for rough adjustment may be previously formed by pressing or the like. Resin material having thermal resistance to heat generation of the resistor 14 and insulating property is used, and the resistor 14 is insert-molded by using the resin 40. The electrode terminals 12 are cut off from the belt-shaped metal plate 10 with a specified length, the electrode terminals 12 are bent toward the lower side surface of the resistor 14 molded of the resin 40, and a chip resistor 2 is obtained.</p>
