PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent label sheet for water ink recording which does not conceal the ground surface of an article to be stuck with a label and has excellent transparency and water absorptivity of the water ink. SOLUTION: This label sheet 1 has the transparency in the form of the label to be affixed and has the constitution of a receptive layer/base material sheet/tacky adhesive layer obtd. by providing the one surface of the transparent base material sheet 2 with the transparent ink receptive layer 3 and providing the other surface of the base material sheet 2 with the transparent tacky adhesive layer 4 and a release sheet 5 in this order. Then, the label does not conceal the ground surface of the article to which the label is stuck. The ink receptive layer 3 is preferably mainly composed of the mixture of an aq. water-insoluble resin, a water-soluble resin and a water-soluble resin having wet heat resistance and low-temp. printability. The label sheet which is excellent in the water absorbability of the water ink is thus obtd.
