PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To industrially obtain a driving belt the tension of which hardly deteriorates from a thermosetting resin by continuously cutting a sheet from the outer periphery of a cylindrical molded body formed by curing the thermosetting resin and obtaining the belt by elongating a ring-like body punched from the sheet. SOLUTION: A sheet 4 is continuously obtained by rotating a metallic shaft 1 while a blade 3 is pressed against a molded body 2 formed by curing a thermosetting resin put around the shaft 1 in a cylindrical shape. It is preferable to use a thermosetting polyurethane exhibiting rubber elasticity after curing as the thermosetting resin. It is also preferable that the resin has a rubber hardness of >=90 A, because it becomes hard to cut the sheet 4 as thin as <=0.5 mm when the rubber hardness is <90 A. Then a doughnut-like ring is punched from the sheet 4 thus obtained and a driving belt is obtained by elongating the ring. Therefore, the thin thermosetting polyurethane sheet 4 can be manufactured industrially and a driving belt the tension of which hardly deteriorates can be obtained industrially. |
