PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impose charging rationally in response to a reproduction state of literary works. SOLUTION: The user selects a disk 44 on which desired information is recorded from a disk group 42 in a rental shop 40. The rental shot 40 records a serial number, a catalog number of the disk 44, a specified reproduction time and the number of times of reproduction (=0) or the like on an IC card 46 of the user. The user uses a player 48 to reproduce the disk 44. The reproduction time is accumulated in this case. When the accumulated reproduction time exceeds a specified reproduction time, one-time reproduction is counted. In the case of pluralities of number of time-reproduction, the number is recorded on the IC card 46. When the user returns the disk 44 and the IC card 46, the rental shop 40 reads data on the IC card 46 and calculates amount of money in response to the number of times of reproduction. |
