PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoder which can automatically write motor relative data stored in the encoder to be replaced in a new replacing encoder when the encoder detecting a position and a speed is replaced. SOLUTION: The encoder 1' to be detached is connected to the encoder 1 to be fitted newly through connectors 60 and 60', the control means 10 of the encoder to be detached is disconnected from a storage means 30' to evade a collision of data, and the control means 10 of the encoder 1 to be fitted is enabled to access the storage elements 30 and 30', so that the motor relative data stored in the storage means 30' are read out and stored in the storage means 30 of the encoder 1 to be fitted newly. |
